Scott Langley's
College Courses and Grades
Graduate Study
GPA = 3.52
Classes taken in Master's program in Electrical Engineering at Oregon
State University from the Fall of 1991 through the Summer of 1993.
Undergraduate Study
GPA = 3.14
Classes taken as an undergraduate at Oregon State University from the
Fall of 1986 through the Spring of 1991. I switched majors from Nuclear
Engineering to Electrical Engineering at the beginning of my sophomore
year.
Personal Notes
My courses and grades in college reflect both struggle and triumph.
Out of high school, my preparation for college was:
| Field of knowledge |
Level of preparation for college |
| Science |
Excellent |
| Math |
Below Average |
| Computer Science |
Above Average |
| English / Communication |
Above Average |
I have an intellectual curiosity about many subjects as is reflected
in large number of courses I took in college, both in and outside my major
of Electrical Engineering. An unfortunate consequence of this is
that I over stretched myself at times in the number of courses in which
I enrolled. While it has made my educational experience a more rounded
one, I ended up struggling through some courses and sequences that required
intense concentration. When I did choose to focus time on a particular
subject, I was, happily, able to master it to my satisfaction.
Oregon State University changed it's grading system from straight letter
grading (A, B, C, D, F) to the plus/minus system (A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+,
C, C-, D+, D, D-, F) in the Fall of 1991 as I entered graduate school.
